Dr. Janine L. Malcolm ND, L.Ac.
Janine L. Malcolm is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist.
Janine received her BA in Psychology with a pre-med focus from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995 where she played volleyball in the then Pac-10. She also studied sports medicine and was certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a fitness and strength trainer in 1996. Dr. Malcolm then went on to study natural medicine at Bastyr University, and graduated with her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and her Master of Science in Acupuncture in 2000. Dr. Malcolm completed her clinical studies in Seattle, WA and an overseas internship in Shanghai, China.
Dr. Malcolm moved to Boulder and started her medical practice in 2000. In 2015 she and her family relocated to the beautiful town of Niwot. She then moved her practice to Niwot in April 2018.
Janine has been teaching at various schools, including Bastyr University, Naropa University in Boulder, the Northwest Institute of Medical Herbalism, and Professional Conferences for over 27 years. She has lectured on many subjects including anatomy and physiology, nutrition, Naturopathic and Chinese medicine, preventative medicine, yoga and exercise, mind/body consciousness and meditation, cancer and chronic disease.
Janine has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years. When she is not immersed in her family medical practice or teaching, she loves to spend time with her 2 amazing children. In addition, Janine enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, dancing and cooking. Janine looks forward to sharing her knowledge, experience and love of wellness with you.

Adults
Acute New Patient Visit w/ Dr. Malcolm: $350
1 Hour consultation and exam and 30-45 minutes treatment
This visit is designed for Patients with an acute, straightforward and uncomplicated case. This visit focuses on one symptom/concern without going through the entire full new patient evaluation. Examples of level I acute conditions are sore throat, colds/flu. ear infection, recent injuries such as strains, breaks, or sprains, urinary tract infection, and acute pain in the back or extremities.
Treatment may include some or all of the following: acupuncture, soft and hard tissue manipulation if indicated, and an individualized treatment plan including diet recommendations, supplements, vitamins and/or herbs.
Comprehensive New Patient Visit w/ Dr. Malcolm: $850
3 hour consultation & exam and 45-75 minute treatment
This visit is designed for all other patients, including anyone displaying symptoms of illness, multiple symptom pictures, chronic illness, and/or mental/emotional imbalances. The three hour consultation will include an extensive personal, physical, mental and emotional history, family history, complete review of all symptoms, including digestion and nutrition analysis and evaluation, extensive lab review, and physical exam, as needed. A comprehensive new patient visit can address: chronic/multisymptom disorders, autoimmune disease, chronic digestive disorders, mental/emotional imbalances, menstrual irregularities, fatigue, insomnia, chronic injuries, skin eruptions, infertility, cervical dysplasia/HPV, Lyme disease, Alzheimer’s, weight issues, pre-cancer or co-management of a cancer diagnosis.
Treatment may include all or some combination of the following: acupuncture, soft and hard tissue manipulation if indicated, Chinese diagnosis and analysis, applied kinesiology, constitutional homeopathy, and an extensive individualized treatment plan including complex nutritional recommendations, lifestyle changes, mindfulness practices , supplements, vitamins and/or herbs.

30 minute consultation and exam and 30-45 minutes treatment
Acupuncture (30-45 minutes): $130
5 minute consultation and exam and 25-35 minutes treatment
Manipulation w/ short acupuncture treatment: $130
5 minute consultation and exam and 15-20 minutes acupuncture and manipulation
Children (under 12 years)
New Patient Child Visit (1.5-2 hours): $550
This visit is designed for children with chronic, yet moderately complicated cases or for children with chronic, multiple symptom pictures and/or significant mental/emotional imbalances. The two hour consultation together will include an extensive personal, physical, mental and emotional history of child, family history, complete review of all symptoms, including digestion and nutrition analysis and evaluation, extensive lab review if indicated, and physical exam as needed. Examples of a new patient child visits are digestive imbalances, growth issues, eczema and other skin problems, chronic ear or Strept infections, mental/emotional imbalances, autoimmune disease, other chronic illnesses, etc.
Treatment may include all or some combination of the following: soft and hard tissue manipulation if indicated, Chinese diagnosis and analysis, applied kinesiology, constitutional homeopathy, and an extensive individualized treatment plan including complex nutritional recommendations, lifestyle changes, supplements, vitamins and/or herbs.
Acute Sick Child Visit (1 hour): $275
This visit is designed for children with an acute, straightforward and uncomplicated case. This visit focuses on one symptom/concern without going through the entire full new patient evaluation.
